The State of Uttar Pradesh joined RUSA on 30.10.2013 by committing to reform its higher education sector. The total funds approved by the Project Approval Board in RUSA 1.0 for the state is 886 Crores comprising of 531.60 Crores Central Share and 354.4 Crores as State Share.
The State joined RUSA 2.0 on 06.03.2019.
