The State of Punjab joined RUSA on 30.10.2013 by committing to reform its higher education sector. The total funds approved by the Project Approval Board in RUSA 1.0 for the state is 215.29 Crores comprising of 129.174 Crores Central Share and 86.116 Crores as State Share.
The State joined RUSA 2.0 on 11.05.2018. The total funds approved by the Project Approval Board in RUSA 2.0 for Punjab State is 171 Crores comprising of 102.60 Crores Central Share and 68.4 Crores as State Share.
