The State of Odisha joined RUSA on 28.10.13 by committing to reform its higher education sector. The Project Approval Board (PAB) in its 4th, 8th and 9th meetings held on 05.12.14, 02.9.15 and 1.12.15 approved proposals of the State worth Rs. 688 crore, comprising of Rs. 412.8 crores as Central share (60%) and Rs. 275.2 crore (40%) as State’s share.
The State joined RUSA 2.0 in the 12th PAB held on 25th May, 2018. The funds approved by PAB in RUSA 2.0 is 216 Crores comprising of 129.6 Crores Central Share and 86.4 Crores as State Share.
