The State of Karnataka joined RUSA on 28.10.2013 by committing to reform its higher education sector. The Project Approval Board (PAB) in its 6th and 9th meetings held on 27.03.2015 and 01.12.2015 respectively, approved proposals of the State worth Rs. 502 crore, comprising of Rs. 301.20 crore as Central share and Rs. 200.80 crore as State’s share.
