The State of Himachal Pradesh joined RUSA on 31.10.2013 by committing to reform its higher education sector. The Project Approval Board (PAB) in its 3rd, 8th and 9th meetings held on 13.05.14, 02.09.15 and 01.12.15, approved proposals of the State worth Rs. 226 crores, comprising of Rs. 203.4 crore as Central share (90%) and Rs. 22.6 crore (10%) as State’s share.
The State joined RUSA 2.0 in the 12th, 13th & 14th PAB held on 25th May, 2018, 30th July, 2018 & 17th Sep, 2018. The funds approved by PAB in RUSA 2.0 is 90 Crores comprising of 81 Crores Central Share and 9 Crores as State Share.
